Sunday Afternoon at the Museum

This month, NHCCC is taking its curated Harvest Moon program on the road. If you missed our first stop at the Westport Library (highlight video here), we are going to New Haven Museum this Sunday and Whitney Center the following week.

• Sunday, 11/9/2025 (3-4 pm) @ New Haven Museum

  • NHCCC is a part of an afternoon of events that help celebrate Asian Heritage. Following our performance, there will be a Bollywood dance performance and a movie screening, too. This event is co-sponsored by New Haven Museum and Asian Pacific American Coalition of Connecticut (APAC). For more information see event page.

• Sunday, 11/16/2025 (4-5 pm) @ Whitney Center

  • To our fans at Whitney Center, we are returning for another fun performance. Be sure to come see us!

Thank you to audience members who came out to support NHCCC at our Fall Concert - “Homecoming“ last week. And big thank you to Wesleyan University Center of the Arts for sponsoring this one of a kind event. Folk tunes, medleys, a dizi concertino, a stylized Tang-inspired dance, a guzheng duet, Xi’an percussion music, a guzheng duet, and a Song Dynasty poetry recitation. Due to our success at last year’s Great Give, we are able to offer highly subsidized programing to community places serving populations that don’t normally hear our music or learn about our culture. We still have slots for qualifying organizations. For information, please contact us to find out more.

NHCCC holds open rehearsals, meaning that we welcome community members to come and see how we work. Please contact us for more details. And if you already play an instrument and would like to set up an audition with us, please email us. We are currently booking performances for the year of 2026 and spring of 2027.
