Celebrating the Harvest Moon

  • New Haven Museum 114 Whitney Avenue New Haven, CT, 06510 United States (map)

To celebrate the season of Fall, which is often associated with the Mid-Autumn Festival, harvest moon, and nostalgia, in the traditional Chinese culture, NHCCC is sharing a Teresa Teng favorite about the moon and love, a bi-lingual poetry from North Song Dynasty, an energetic percussion song, and a potato digging harvest song from Shanxi, a traditional Chinese dance, and more. Through personal stories and interesting cultural fact, NHCCC is making their sounds and music accessible for all to enjoy.
