This spring, NHCCC is bringing an exciting program with songs inspired by the diverse musical traditions (like those of the Yao, Dai, Miao, Amei, Hezhe, Uyghur, Tajik… peoples) in and around China. Music in this program includes full ensemble works like Dance of the Yao People, Dance of the Amei People, and My Beloved Rose, and Wusuli Boat Song. Additionally, the program features a guzheng solo, a pluck string ensemble, a dizi/guzheng duet, an erhu/yangqin duet, a guzheng/guitar duet, and a hulusi concertino.
