The New Haven Chinese Culture Cooperative (NHCCC) will present "Spring Flowers," a curated program exploring the significance of nature in traditional Chinese music. Featuring everything from regional folk tunes to popular songs, the performance highlights the rich musical traditions of the Chinese-speaking world.

Guided by a narrator, the audience will also meet Chinese traditional instruments such as the erhu (Chinese fiddle), guzheng (ancient zither), sheng (mouth organ), and more. Attendees are invited to stay after the performance for a closer look at the instruments.

This program is offered in connection with Asian American Pacific Islander Month (AAPI) sponsored by donations from NHCCC’s annual fundraiser - The Great Give, as well as, Friends of the Hamden Library.
